The name alone says it all: Alienware Area-51m, the most powerful laptop ever made, has arrived! The all-new 15-inch laptop from Dell’s Alienware Aurora 2019 gaming brand was unveiled at CES 2019 and will be available starting in February; however, a few lucky souls got to try it out early at the Alienware’s Experience event in New York City on January 9th. Here are just some of the reasons why I think it’s going to be one of the best laptops you can buy this year.
Processor
Dramatic product announcements don’t often get better than this one. The new Alienware Area-51m features up to a brand-new 8th Gen Intel® CoreTM i9 processor and will be available on May 27th. This new version of our top gaming powerhouse is ready to dominate any game or VR experience, with support for up to two NVIDIA GTX 2080 Ti GPUs in SLI*. Featuring an illuminated keyboard with Alienware’s customizable tri-colour backlighting, 16GB 2666 MHz DDR4 memory, and dual 256GB SSDs in RAID 0* on boot and data drives, you’re going to have the most powerful rig on your desk when you pick one of these up at a retailer near you.

With the new Alienware Area-51m, they have introduced what they are calling their most powerful PC ever created. The Alienware Area-51m is the latest high-performance gaming laptop to be unveiled by Dell, and it’s unlike anything you’ve seen before. The new model features an Intel Core i9 processor, next-gen NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 graphics, up to 64GB of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage. Keyboard and Touchpad
The keyboard and touchpad are both excellent. The keys have really nice tactile feedback and a satisfying click when you press down, and there’s plenty of space to rest your wrists on the touchpad. The large trackpad also has a nice anti-glare finish that makes it easy to use in any lighting condition. It’s also one of the best touchpads out there as far as precision goes.

The Alienware Area-51m offers Intel Core i9 Skylake 9th Gen processors up to a whopping 48 cores and 98 threads. This thing comes standard with 16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM and can be bumped up to 64GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM. For graphics, it has dual NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q video cards in an SLI setup that can provide 8K gameplay at 60Hz over DisplayPort 1.4 or 4K gaming at 120Hz over HDMI 2.0.
Conclusion
Alienware Area-51m has been a long time coming and we are excited to see it come to life.
