#1: Bestseller Lists
If you have a favorite author or genre, make sure to check out their bestseller lists. For example, I’m a big fan of Ken Follett, so I follow his list of bestsellers here. This is a great way to see what’s popular in your genre and who are your favorites with sales figures to back them up.
#2: Book Recommendations
When you’re just starting out on your reading journey, it can be hard to know what to read first. We have some recommendations for you! If you’re looking for a good place to start, here are some classics that have stood the test of time and continue to top bestseller lists today: The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald; Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen; To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee; A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeleine L’Engle; Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury; The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D.
#3: Professional Reviews
One of my favorite ways to use Fiverr is for doing honest book reviews. I’ve hired several people on Fiverr (my reviews have all been positive), and I found some of them to be very talented writers. If you want to see examples, click here . If you need honest book reviews that will help your products sell better, I highly recommend hiring someone on Fiverr for $5 per review.
#4: Personal Recommendations
One of my favorite ways to get recommendations is by asking people I trust. People tend to do business with companies they know, like and trust. This can be extended to new services as well. For example, if you’re doing research on how much it costs to relocate your business in an area you’re not familiar with, ask someone who has already done it for their input and recommendations on good local businesses that could help you out.
#5: Other People’s Thoughts
When you see what people are saying about books on blogs, forums, and on Twitter, it can help spark your own ideas. Our brains work in interesting ways; we tend to notice and remember things that others like (which makes sense given that we evolved in social groups). Seeing other people react positively to a book will have a similar positive effect. The next time you read something that captures your attention, don’t be afraid to try adapting those ideas into your own content.
